Memcached in Cloud Hosting
Memcached is available as an optional upgrade with each cloud hosting package that we’re offering and if you want to use it for any script-powered Internet site that you host on our cutting-edge cloud website hosting platform, you will be able to enable it in a few simple steps via your Hepsia Control Panel. During the process, you will be given the option to upgrade two separate things – the number of instances and the memory. The first one is related to the number of the sites that can use the Memcached caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several sites, you can get a handful of instances. The second one refers to the maximum amount of memory that Memcached will be permitted to use in order to cache information, so for multiple sites (or for one single resource-absorbing site), you’d better order more memory for better results. The memory comes in increments of 16 megabytes and more memory can be added at any point. With Memcached, any script-powered Internet site hosted on our cloud servers will open unbelievably fast.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
In case you choose to host your Internet sites in a semi-dedicated server account, you will be able to take advantage of Memcached with ease, since the distributed memory object caching platform’s activation takes a couple of clicks from the Hepsia Control Panel. The required extension is already installed on our semi-dedicated servers, so you can start using the Memcached caching platform the moment you add it to your account. You’ll be able to choose how many Internet sites can use it and how much information can be cached, i.e. there are two different upgradable features – the instances and the system memory. You can add more of both, so if one of your websites becomes extremely busy, for example, you can always get more memory. Our system is pretty flexible in this regard and we do not tie a given number of instances to a pre-defined amount of memory. You can use the Memcached platform to increase the loading speed of any script-powered site, including those that are based on popular web apps, such as WordPress or Joomla™.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached is included by default with each and every VPS server offered by our company as long as you choose Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you won’t have to pay anything extra to be able to use the full capacity of this distributed memory object caching system. The more powerful package you choose, the more memory Memcached will have for content caching purposes, but you’ll have no less than several hundred MB at all times, which is much more than what you’d get with a shared plan. This will allow you to use the Memcached caching system for many sites, irrespective of how busy they are, which in turn means that you can use a lower-end plan for them without overloading your Virtual Private Server. The Memcached caching system is perfect for script-powered apps such as WordPress, OpenCart, Joomla™ or Mambo, and you can use it even with a custom app. Soon after you enable the Memcached system, it will begin caching data and you’ll note the improved performance of your websites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Memcached is available for free with all Linux dedicated web hosting plans that we offer and the one and only condition is that the server must be ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel. You can use the memory caching system for any database-driven site, including those based on widely used Internet apps – for instance, a WordPress blog or a Joomla™-powered community website. Each dedicated machine is tied to a certain amount of system memory that the Memcached system can employ, but the minimum amount you will get is 3 GB, which is quite enough to enhance the loading speed of extremely popular websites enormously, as this memory will be dedicated to storing the cached information. The Memcached system will start caching info the moment it is enabled, so soon thereafter, you will see the improved overall performance of your Internet sites and the decreased load on your dedicated machine. A lot of websites use the Memcached caching system to enhance their efficiency, among them famous ones such as Reddit and Wikipedia.
